ISTANBUL PIERRE LOTI HILL

Pierre Loti was a French officer who lived in Istanbul a couple of years. He loved Istanbul and the Turks so much that he did not want to leave Turkey. Even during World War 1, he took the Turks’ side then he was discharged from the army. He kept living in Istanbul. He made special coffee for himself. After his death, the place where he was living, was named Pierre Loti Hill.

The hill is located north of the Golden Horn.

The visitors can take the cable car (Teleferique) or drive to the top.
