Private Half-Day Guided Istanbul Tour Itinerary

We advise visiting the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia in the morning because mosques close at noon and in the afternoon for prayer periods. If you just have four hours to spare, we recommend going to:

The Hippodrome: 100,000 spectators watch an antique chariot race through a U-shaped arena. The Egyptian Obelisk, Serpent Column, and Constantine Columns were the three structures that remained standing despite the Hippodrome having lost its seats, walls, and much of what was left.

Sultan Ahmet built the Голубая мечеть, an imperial mosque in the Ottoman Empire, between 1609 and 1616. Although it is known as the Sultanahmet Mosque, travelers named it the Blue Mosque when they noticed the interior's blue tiles.

Айя-София: Built between 532 and 537 by the Roman Emperor Justinian, it rose to become the world's tallest and largest cathedral. The Ottomans converted the church into a mosque in the fifteenth century, and in 1934 it was turned into a museum. The Hagia Sophia stopped being a museum in July 2020 and went back to being a mosque. Hagia Sophia, like the other mosques, is accessible to tourists.

You may visit the Grand Bazaar with your guide if time allows.

We had a small private group and wanted just the essentials in the Old City. The morning schedule was smart, and we hit Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and Hippodrome in a really logical order. The guide handled the walking pace well and gave us time for photos. Gr…Читать полный обзор
