Çırağan-Palast

No matter how they get there, whether by land or by sea, everyone who sees the Ciragan Palace is mesmerized by its beautiful architecture.

The illustrious Ciragan Palace is the opulent building that draws your attention just off to the right side as you travel from Beşiktaş to Ortakoy. This happens to be the section of the road where you are traveling. Since it features truly unique architecture, the Ciragan Palace is considered one of the most memorable masterpieces that are associated with Istanbul for tourists.

During the time that the Ottoman State was in power, the most prominent locations on the Bosphorus were set aside as construction sites for palaces and villas for the sultan, his family, and the senior officers of the palace. These locations were also used for private purposes. Ciragan Palace, which was built in 1861 during the time that Sultan Abdülaziz ascended to the throne, is regarded as one of the most valuable buildings that embellish the coasts of the Bosphorus because it is representative of this tradition.

The portion of the palace that is most noteworthy is the bridge that connects it to the Yldz Palace. This bridge can be found on the palace's back ridges. The areas of the palace that are home to pedestals that are considered to be among the finest examples of stone embroidery were adorned with priceless carpets and furniture, as well as golden gilt and needlework that was covered in nacre. Marbles of various hues were used in the construction of the palace's facades. The decorations on the splendid doors attracted a lot of attention. After suffering damage in a fire in 1909, the palace was later renovated. Today, a hotel deserving of five stars operates there.

The Ciragan Palace is consistently ranked as one of the top attractions for tourists coming to Istanbul. The "Ciragan Feasts" that were held in the 18th century are where the name came from. During the time of the Ottoman Empire, the most beautiful spots along the Bosphorus were usually saved for the Sultan of Turkey and his family.

After Sultan Abdulaziz ascended to the throne in 1861, the Ciragan Palace was commissioned to be constructed as a result of this tradition. It was connected to the Yldz Palace, which is located immediately behind it, by a bridge.

For countless years, the palace has stood as one of the most magnificent and priceless structures that the Bosphorus shores have ever seen. The stonework on the columns that support the palace is particularly stunning.

Some rooms are decorated with handwork that is covered in golden gloss and mother-of-pearl, in addition to the valuable carpets and furniture. The front walls of the palace are made of marble in a variety of colors, which gives the building's architecture a lively appearance.

Ciragan Palace is known as one of the "pearls" of the Ottoman Empire because of its beautiful sea view and architecture. It was recently turned into a five-star hotel.
