The time-limited visitors can join Private Half Day Guided Istanbul Old City Tour to visit the Topkapi Palace and the Hagia Sophia together. Then explore this magnificant city with guided Istanbul tour and the Istanbul tour guide.
A journey through the heart of Istanbul Old City was the Romans and the Ottomans’ capital city. This itinerary has been created for those keen to witness the empires’ heritage with their own eyes and time-limited travelers. We made the program which includes Roman and Ottoman historical buildings. Those are:
Hagia Sophia: built by the Roman Emperor Justinian between 532-537 and became the highest and the biggest cathedral globally. The church was converted into a mosque by the Ottomans in the 15th century and became a museum in 1934. Hagia Sophia lost its museum status in July 2020 and has become a mosque again. Like the other mosques, Hagia Sophia is open to visitors.
The Topkapi Palace: Once was the heart of the Ottoman Empire as a residential palace and headquarters. Sultan Mehmet II built the palace in the 15th century, and then it became the center of the Ottoman Empire. The palace complex consists of four gardens and three gates. Topkapi Palace houses thousands of Ottoman artifacts on display in the exhibition rooms. Since 1924, The Topkapi Palace serves as a museum.
If time permits, you can visit the Grand Bazaar.
